Provider Education

Quality Improvement Training

Our accredited provider education program helps reduce childhood dental disease by providing quality improvement training for primary care providers with the goal of increasing preventive oral health services. These services include oral health screenings, fluoride varnish applications, and dental home referrals during appropriate well-child visits. This program is available nationally and offers Smiles for Life certification. It is also in alignment with the American Academy of Pediatrics Bright Futures Periodicity Schedule.

Eligible participants earn 30-50 Performance Improvement CME and 20-30 MOC Part IV Improvement in Medical Practice credits. Performance improvement based education is a unique model of CME that allows participants to earn more than the traditional one CME credit per one hour of education by completing two linked cycles of data guided Plan-Do-Study-Act.

“I am so thrilled to be able to intervene and perform such an easy preventable service in my office every day.”
